WHILE the 90s may have been three decades ago, the fashion that made the decade iconic is back on the streets.

It seems we have some of our favorite celebrities to thank for the return of these trends, with names like Bella Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski, and Sabrina Carpenter looking like it’s 1996.

From capri pants to micro bags, the streets are full of trends that will make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time.

And while there are some ’90s trends we’d rather see behind, slip dresses are a timeless classic that can be a great addition to your wardrobe.

Take inspiration from your favorite celebrity and add some nostalgia to your wardrobe.

You might think some of these trends have long been forgotten, but it’s clear they’re here to stay.

Here, Fabulous’ Abby McHale and Emily Regan take a look at where to find some iconic ’90s-inspired fashion.

First made popular in the 1950s by decades of It Girls like Marilyn Monroe, capri pants appeared again in the 1990s and have now made their way into the 21st century with our modern style muses like Bella Hadid.

While classic monochromatic colors make this trend easy to wear, a bold red like this pair from Zara is perfect for summer.

Wear with flats (another ’90s throwback) and a t-shirt for a casual look.

Or wear them with kitten heels and a blouse to make your capri pants glam.

It looks great dressed up with a pair of heels like Irina Shayk did here, or keep it casual with sneakers and a blazer on top.

They’re available in a variety of colors and prints on the high street, and if you’re worried about not being able to wear a bra with thin straps, look for a style with a thicker alternative.

Normally reserved for nights out, they are a great alternative to a clutch, and they often have a strap, making them easier to carry.

There are many styles available in a variety of colors, patterns and textures – discover these bags on the high street.

While royalty wore them in the ’90s, celebrities are rocking the look today.

Dress like British actress Susan Wokoma did here with an oversized shirt and chunky sneakers for a formal ensemble.

Black may be the classic color, but if you want to try something bolder, there are plenty of colorful options too.

So why not spice up your look with a collared shirt version?

Emily Ratajkowski was spotted on the streets of New York recently, and you can copy her look for less than £30.

Furthermore, you can wear them with jeans, midi skirts, wide pants… the options are endless.

All the 90s trends that are back

It may be 2024, but fashion fans are looking to the past when it comes to new styles. So what ’90s trends are making a comeback these days?

Claw Clips

These hair accessories were a huge trend in the ’90s, but now they’re more popular among those experimenting with the “clean girl” aesthetic. Designers like Prada have released their own versions, although there are thousands of colors and styles to choose from on the high street.

Platform slippers

Again a popular choice among fashionistas in the ’90s, these heels have made a comeback with designers like Balenciaga trying their luck with their own styles.

Cargo pants

Once worn by All Saints stars, cargo pants became a popular trend among teenagers in the ’90s. But now they’ve gotten a fashion makeover, with stars like Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber putting their own spin on the trend.

Jeans and a beautiful top

It was the phrase that defined fashion for a decade, and now famous faces like Sofia Richie are sporting the reinvented trend – pairing their own denim with a more sophisticated top. But are you willing to take your cute jeans and tops out of your wardrobe for a second time?
