It was one of the biggest shows of the ’90s, with viewers eager to see what Angelica Pickles and Chuckie Finster would do next.

And now Rugrats fans can get their hands on merchandise from the show, after Primark launched a range of new PJs emblazoned with the characters.

In fact, Primark has been killing it with its sleepwear options in recent months, according to fashion fan Lauren Saddington.

Lauren used TikTok to share a video looking at Primark’s newest pajamas as she had a huge range of options, despite admitting she “didn’t need” any of them.

“I wasn’t going to make a video, I was just in and out,” she sighed.

“Tell me why I bought the High School Musical pajamas.

“I don’t need them.

“Primark, you’re killing me. I’m just buying pajamas!”

Showing off a pair of Sesame Street pajamas with Elmo on the front, Lauren called them “the cutest things” she had ever seen, before moving on to the Rugrats line.

Showing off a strappy vest and shorts with the slogan “90s girl” on the front, Lauren admitted: “I’m literally obsessed!”

She wasn’t a fan of the Lion King pajamas and didn’t understand the “Hello Kitty hype,” but she “really loved” the Hercules line based on the 1997 Disney film.

There were also options for SpongeBob SquarePants, as well as Minions and even Emily in Paris – before the new series hits Netflix on August 15th.

“Do I need High School Musical? I feel like I do!” Lauren laughed.

“The Primark PJs game is STRONG,” she wrote at the top of the video.

The comments section was quickly filled with people equally excited about the new pajama options, with one writing: “Right now I have more pajamas than actual clothes.

“I’m not even mad!”

“I rarely buy real clothes from Primark, just the pajamas, HSM and Hannah Montana pajamas are everything,” another added.

“Hercules is my favorite Disney movie,” admitted a third.

The Horrible ’90s Trends That Will Be Massive This Year

It may be 2024, but it feels like we’ve gone back another decade, to the 1990s.

Cool Britannia was king, Oasis v Blur, Blair and The Beckhams stole the headlines, but couples who dressed up and fought were kings and this year they’re back.

But not everyone will be happy with the return of some looks that we would consider more scary than cool.

Here fashion editor Clemmie Fieldsend reveals the nineties trends that are making a comeback.

SKEELS

The micro mini returned to the scene last year, but it’s set to be one of this year’s biggest trends.

The skelt made famous by former glamor model Jodie Marsh and worn by 90s supermodels Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford and Kate Moss is now available in high street stores like H&M and Zara.

DOUBLE (AND TRIPLE) DENIM

From Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake’s matching looks to Irish band B*Witched wearing head-to-toe denim – double and sometimes triple denim is synonymous with nineties style.

Fast forward to now and everything from jeans to maxi skirts, yes maxi skirts, will be low waisted and worn with denim bags, tops and bras, like Bella Hadid.

FIGHT

Rebranded as “cargo” pants and skirts, but make no mistake, they’re just combat.

Think practical, multi-pocket pants in the style of All Saints, Billie Piper and S Club 7.

If you’re looking to get back into the fray, there’s plenty available on the high street from Primark, New Look and Asos.

BALLET PUMPS

Remember the days when you put on your flats and felt every bump on the sidewalk?

Yes, they are back.

And they are already on Primark shelves.

“It’s best to go to Primark as soon as the summer holidays are over and it’s not full of kids.”

“I ran to buy the Sesame Street ones! So comfortable too,” said someone else.

“This was me a few weeks ago,” admitted another. “I bought 5 pairs!”

But not everyone was so enamored with the sleepwear options, with one writing: “I don’t understand why an adult would want to wear High School Musical or Rugrats pajamas.”
