THERE’S nothing better than sitting down with the family eating a box of chocolate and roses.
But people were shocked to realize that there was a secret hidden in the logo.
We usually open the box without looking at the logo to make sure we get a share of our favorite chocolate, but next Whenever you have one, you might want to take a closer look.
On social media, a user shared some little-known facts about everyday products that you might not know.
“Today I was years old,” they wrote when they noticed the Easter egg in the logo.
An easter egg refers to hidden details scattered throughout a film, television series, video game, or logo for fans to search for.
And it turns out that Cadbury’s rose boxes have always had one.
Zooming in on the box, the Cadbury brand name has the notable curved letter ‘C’.
But it turns out that the center of the rose logo has the exact same ‘C’ hidden in the middle of the petals and people are surprised as they had never noticed it before.
The chocolates were introduced to the UK in 1938 (as a competitor to Quality Street launched in 1936).
They were named after the English packaging equipment company “Rose Brothers”, based in Lincolnshire, who manufactured and supplied the machines that packaged the chocolates.
The clip also showed where the name HP sauce, the famous brand of brown sauce, comes from.
It turns out that HP is an acronym for House of Parliament – which makes sense considering there’s a picture of it on the bottle.
The video posted on the TikTok account @officialcomedytv went viral with more than 2.9 million views and 280 thousand likes.
People were quick to take to the comments, shocked that they had never noticed the detail before.
One person wrote: “I learned so many new things in 30 seconds.”
Another commented: “The way my jaw dropped even more after each one.”
“That Roses is crazy,” wrote a third.
Mind-Blowing Food Facts
- Honey is technically bee vomit. The forager bee takes the nectar back to the hive, she regurgitates the nectar into the honey stomach of the “processor” bee near the hive entrance, who regurgitates it into the hive and allows it to mature.
- Almonds are technically seeds, not nuts, as they grow into a fleshy fruit with a stony endocarp.
- The cookies have holes to prevent air bubbles from ruining the product during baking.
- Hot paprika is literally just dried, crushed red peppers.
- Expiration dates on bottled water have nothing to do with the liquid, but rather the bottle itself, as plastic breaks down over time.
Meanwhile, a fourth said: “OMG I never knew that!”
“Because I was stunned by each one,” said a fifth.
Someone else added: “Amazing.”
