Google today announced a new imaging app during its Pixel 9 event. The company says the app, called Pixel Studio, will come pre-installed on all Pixel 9 devices.
Pixel Studio, like Apple’s upcoming Image Playground app, which will launch in iOS 18 at some point after the operating system launches, lets you create an image from a prompt. Users can edit images after the fact, using the prompt box to add or subtract elements and change the appearance or style of the image.
During the on-stage demonstration, the image of a bonfire gradually transformed into an invitation to a beach hangout with the Golden Gate Bridge and fireworks in the background, done in pixel art style and complete with invitation details and party stickers. friends of the presenter glued to him. The feature is based on Google Text to image template Image 3.
The feature joins other AI features Google has rolled out for Pixel phones, like a new Pixel Screenshots feature that works like Microsoft’s Recall feature, except instead of constantly taking screenshots, you take each one manually.
