ANOTHER batch of Samsung smartphones will start receiving a major free update in the latest Android fix today.
The South Korean tech giant routinely releases new software to address any newly discovered glitches or stability issues.
So don’t wait for new apps or features to appear.
The latter affects Android in general, with 50 security bugs.
One of them was identified as “critical”.
This particular flaw could allow a hacker to bypass some of your phone’s security features.
Samsung’s budget smartphone M55 was the first to receive the update.
It then launched on the Galaxy Z Fold 3, 4, 5 and Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra.
Now it’s the turn of the S22 models.
Since software updates are usually released in stages, the update may not reach your phone immediately.

It may take some time to implement in different countries as well as across networks.
This includes:
- Galaxy S22
- Galaxy S22+
- S22 Ultra
According to SamMobileGalaxy S22 users in the US are first on the list.
The update should download automatically when it is ready for your device.
But you can also manually check for updates at any time.
Just go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
